Does children need eTA?
Any person who travels to Canada by air and is a citizen of one of the 52 eTA eligible countries must apply for a visa before traveling to Canada.
It is mandatory that all passengers are in possession of an approved eTA, including children. If you are going to enter the country by car from the United States through one of the designated border crossings, it is not necessary to request the eTA.
Citizens of eTA eligible countries must apply for a visa at an embassy or consulate in Canada.
Children from eTA eligible countries traveling to Canada by air also need travel authorization.
In addition, it is mandatory that they have a valid passport in order to apply for eTA.
